About the author: Dr. Allen Howard Podet teaches in the Philosophy and Religious Studies Department of the State University College at Buffalo, New York. Professor Podet holds a doctorate (DHL, HUC, Cincinnati) in Hebrew Literature and another (PhD, UW, Seattle) in Near East History. He publishes extensively and he has lectured widely across the United States in Near East Studies and in Religious Studies, and also lectured on Federal Republic grants at many German universities.
