Andrew C. Troup is Associate Professor of English at California State University, Bakersfield. He obtained his Ph.D. in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2005 he became President of the Society for Medieval Languages and Linguistics.
2010 0-7734-1380-4 This study of the Old English relative clause arises largely in response to Bruce Mitchell’s Old English Syntax, a work of enormous scope which appeared in 1985. Whereas Mitchell’s work covers the entire range of sentence structures in the language, my study focuses on a single type—the relative clause.
