Dr. Gong is the CEO and President of Sichuan Mianyang Academy of Arts, Chair of the World's Funds of Cultures, acting director-dean of the Research Academy of Chinese intangible cultural heritage. He recieved his Ph.D from Beijing University.

The art of Chinese paintings developed rapidly during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties from 1271-1911. This book offers a survey of the development of Chinese painting during these three dynasties.
