Vann, Robert

Dr. Robert E. Vann received his B.A. and M.A. at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his Ph.D. in Iberoromance Linguistics and Philology at The University of Texas at Austin. He has published over 25 refereed articles, mainly concerning Spanish language and culture in Catalonia, and has given invited lectures at international conferences on both language contact and language documentation. Additionally, he has created over a dozen different undergraduate and graduate level Spanish linguistics courses, a student exchange program in Lleida, Catalonia, and a center for language education in Michigan. Dr. Vann currently holds the rank of Professor in the Department of Spanish at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
