About the author: Riché C. Zamor, Field Coordinator at The Access Project, Brandeis University, is a community activist and long-time organizer in the fight for immigrant rights. A leader in addressing the social and economic concerns of immigrants, he led the campaign for substance abuse prevention for Haitians in Massachusetts.
