The vision is dualistic and heterodox, and bears a striking and consistent resemblance to the visions and writings of many of the Christian gnostics of ancient times. Based on this gnostic reading, the author asserts that, concerning Blake's so-called monomyth, both traditionalist and poststructural approaches can coexist.
