About the author: Dr. Pettit has an A.B. from Harvard College, a B.A. and an M.A. from the University of Oxford and a PhD from Yale University. He has taught at several world renowned universities such as M.I.T., Boston University, University of Oxford, University of Bonn, University of Stuttgart, University of Berlin and Universities of Düsseldorf. Among his significant achievements, Dr. Pettit was also the Editor of Harvard University Press and was awarded the Egleston History Prize by Yale University.
