Mike Pincombe is Professor of Tudor and Elizabethan Literature at the University of Newcastle. He obtained his Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from St. Catherine’s College, University of Oxford.
2008 0-7734-4834-9 Volume brings together nine essays developed from papers given at the Tudor Symposium Conference of 2002, held at the University of Newcastle. In broad terms all are concerned with the relationship between literature and the religious upheavals of the Tudor period. The collection includes an exploration of the iconographic representation of suffering in Foxe’s Acts and Monuments. This book contains three black and white photographs.
