About the author: Dr. Merav Nagel is a researcher and a professor of Exercise Science at Idaho State University. She is a sport Psychologist whose concern for the body-mind-spirit connection in the health of athletes serves her students well. Dr. Nagel has varied valuable experience. She was a competitive athlete in Israel, served as an officer in the Israeli Defense forces, and consulted several Olympians.
