About the author: Martin Farrell first went to Spain as a student of philosophy and theology at both the Royal Scots College and the Estudio Teológico Agustiniano in Valladolid. His interest in Spanish continued back in his native Scotland where he studied Spanish at the University of Strathclyde and went on to do a doctorate on the works of Castillo-Puche. After setting up Spanish at the University of Derby, he is currently Head of Spanish at Loughborough University.
