Esmeranda Manful is a Research Associate at the Centre for Research in Social Policy, Loughborough University. She worked as policy researcher advancing the
rights of children in Ghana from 1994 to 2004. She completed her PhD. at Queen’s University Belfast.

In addition, the empirical findings are indicative that there is more than one specific conceptualisation of children’s rights; to ensure provision, protection and/or participation rights of the child. It also revealed that the type of rights being advanced and implemented is the interest rights of the child.
