Dr. Geraldine Johnson Bryant received her BS. Degree in Vocational Home Economics from Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Alabama; M.Ed. in Vocational Home Economics from the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia; EDS in Supervision and Leadership, and EDD in Executive Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, Tennessee. Dr. Bryant is a Professional School Counselor at Dowell Elementary School in Marietta, Georgia.
2015 1-4955-0288-0 This research was an opportunity to explore the personal stories of a group of young African American males that may be seen as an indication of the conditions that have affected our larger society. It deconstructs the common myth that drop outs are the trouble makers or low achievers in school and it inspires us to reconsider and challenges our present teaching approach to this demographic group.
