Diana Festa grew up in Italy. In 1972 she earned a PHD from the Graduate Centery of The City University of New York. She was a professor of literature at Brooklyn college and at the Graduate Center of CUNY. She has published four books, and many articles and poems. She now works as an accredited Gestalst therapist in New York City
