About the author: Beth Soll is a choreographer, dancer, and teacher currently working in New York City. With her company, which was formed in 1977, she has performed in the United States, Europe and Asia. She has taught at many universities, including MIT, the Harvard Summer Dance Center, and UC-Santa Barbara. She has a PhD from Boston University.
