Hartkorn, Albert W.

Albert W. Hartkorn's first published poems appeared in 1988 under the pen name of John Williams. His works have appeared in Suwanee, Caribbean Writer, The Lyric, Orbus, Bitterroot and numerous other publications. He has published five other volumes of poetry, including Dor (Mellen, 1995). He served in the US Navy during the Korean conflict, holding a Top Secret security clearance. He is a nationally recognized expert in the field oof transit safety. He lived and taught English in Charlotte Amalie, US Virgin Islands, wich provided the background for Dor, a narrative poem of a voodoo priest.
