Métraux, Daniel
Born and raised in Nyon, Switzerland, the author attended the Collège secondaire before embarking in a career in business. After moving to Canada, he obtained his BA at the University of Winnipeg, his MA at the University of Manitoba, and finally, his doctorate at the Université de Lausanne.
2003 0-7734-6607-XL’Istoire le roy Charlemaine is one of the very last still unpublished chansons de geste in French literature, since until recently scholars have neglected the genre of late medieval remaniements and compilations to which it belongs.
