About the author: Dan Forsyth is Professor of Anthropology at Colorado State University, Pueblo. He has a PhD in Anthropology from the University of California at San Diego, and MA from The University of Chicago; and a BA from UCLA. His most extensive fieldwork was among Mennonites in the US. One of his articles earned the Boyer Prize in psychoanalytic anthropology, and he was a visiting scholar at the University of Oslo.
